Box office: Extra screens added for Jailer, Bholaa Shankar's occupancy drops heavily, Ustaad ends as a flop

Tollywood box office

Tollywood is hustling with multiple releases this week. On August 10, 2023, Rajinikanth's Jailer was released in a big way in Telugu cinema. The film has directed by Nelson and had Tamannah in a special song. A day later, megastar Chiranjeevi came out with his new film, Bholaa Shankar which was directed by Meher Ramesh, who made his comeback to direction after 12 long years.

On August 12, 2023, MM Keeravani's son, Simha Koduri released his new film Ustaad which was produced on a very small scale. Well, let us look at the box office status of these films. Well, Jailer started on a decent note in Telugu. But as the reviews for Bholaa Shankar started on a very dull note, Jailer picked up big time at the box office. In fact, the collections of Jailer on day two will be way better than on day one.

Coming to Bholaa Shankar the action drama is Chiranjeevi's biggest flop in recent times. The critics and general audience are tearing the film apart with trolls on social media. The Meher Ramesh film did not see fulls in a landmark single screen on day two and this proves what kind of a flop Bholaa Shankar is. The film's occupancy has fallen flat and the day three occupancy has also started with lesser than 50% which is a shame for a star like Chiranjeevi.

Last, but not least, Ustaad featuring Simha Koduri has begun on a disastrous note. The film has received bad reviews and the occupancy on day one was not even 30%. Once the weekdays arrive, Ustaad will be out of the theatres for sure.

Simha Koduri's performance was appreciated by the critics but sadly, the film has fallen flat at the box office. Looking at the scenario, it is Rajinikanth's Jailer which has hit the jackpot and is growing from strength to strength with each passing day.
