Adipurush sinks further, Mano Charitra and Asvins struggle to attract the audience
Adipurush
Adipurush started with a bang in Telugu states and made big numbers in Telugu states in its first weekend. Even after having a disastrous talk, the Prabhas starrer made record money in a few areas of Telugu states. But sadly, the film fell flat at the box office once the weekdays started. Now that the film is done with its first week, the occupancy has gone down drastically.
The distributors who bought the film for massive amounts will see losses in almost all the areas of its release. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush was made on a budget of over 400 crores. The film is out of several theaters across the country. As a biggie like Adipurush was coming out, no other producer dared to bring a Telugu biggie, post the release of Adipurush and that gave a chance to a few small films to get a proper release.
In Telugu, films like Manu Charitra and Asvins were notable releases. But sadly, both these films have started on a dismal note at the box office. There are no takers for this film and the occupancy is below 40% in Telugu states as per the trade update. As there are no other releases, these films had a great chance to make merry if they attained a positive talk but that did not happen.
Manu Charitra stars Shiva Kandukuri and also has Megha Akash and Priya Vadlamani in key roles. The film is on the lines of Arjun Reddy and has very good music by Gopi Sundar. On the other hand, Asvins has won a lot of praise for its technical brilliance but the general talk is not that great. Tarun Tej directed this film which had Vasanth Ravi in the lead role. The film is a horror thriller.
