Bougainvillea release date: Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil starrer to hit the theatres on this day

Bougainvillea, the Amal Neerad directorial which stars Kunchacko Boban and Jyothirmayi in the lead roles and Fahadh Faasil in a special appearance, has reportedly got a release date.

Bougainvillea, the upcoming action-drama film marks Amal Neerad’s comeback to film direction after the massive success of Mammootty starrer Bheeshma Parvam. The movie marks the filmmaker’s first onscreen collaboration with popular actor Kunchacko Boban who is set to play the protagonist. Fahadh Faasil is set to make a special appearance in the film, which stars Jyothirmayi as the female lead. After a long wait, Bougainvillea has now got a release date.

Bougainvillea release date is out

Recently, director Amal Neerad and the rest of the cast and crew members took to their official social media handles and dropped a new poster of Bougainvillea, along with the film’s release date. The highly anticipated multi-starrer is gearing up to have a grand theatrical release on October 17, 2024. Even though earlier it was rumoured that the project is gearing up to release on October 10, 2024, the team never confirmed the same officially.

As per the reports, the makers were initially keen to release the film on October 10, 2024, considering the Ayudha Pooja holidays and the long weekend. However, later, they finalised Thursday, October 17, 2024, as the release date of the Kunchacko Boban-Fahadh Faasil starrer, to avoid a box office clash with Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan. The release date confirmation has left the Malayalam cinema audiences, who were disappointed about the lack of release from the industry in the month of October, highly excited.

All about Bougainvillea

As you may know, Bougainvillea has been making headlines lately after the team dropped the first single, Sthuthi, on social media recently. The song, composed by Sushin Shyam, features Kunchacko Boban and Jyothirmayi in highly stylised avatars. Sharaf U Dheen, Veena Nandakumar, and Srindaa play the other pivotal roles in the Amal Neerad directorial Anend C Chandran is the director of photography. Vivek Harshan handles the editing. Bougainvillea is jointly produced by Kunchacko Boban and Jyothirmayi under the banners of Udhaya Pictures and Amal Neerad Productions.
