A source close to the development revealed to the portal, “Border 2 is the biggest film in Indian cinema currently in the making, and the team is making it even bigger by casting Varun Dhawan in a major role alongside Sunny Deol.” The source added that Varun is a big fan of the Border franchise and believes the sequel could be a major landmark in his career.

The source continued, “The Border franchise holds a special place in the hearts of the audience, and the casting of Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in the sequel is sure to elevate its appeal even further.” Border 2 is set to begin filming in November 2024, with Varun Dhawan joining the team after the release of his film Baby John in December 2024.
