Boney Kapoor reveals Rishi and Neetu Kapoor used to call him 'Cinderella', here's why!

To honor his 100 magical years, one of the most iconic legends of Indian Cinema, Raj Kapoor is being celebrated by the Kapoor family. Now, Boney Kapoor, a filmmaker and actor, recalled memories from living near the Kapoor family and his bond with the legendary actor. He also shared an interesting story about him being called 'Cinderella' in Raj Kapoor's residence. He was given this nickname by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor and here's why!
While speaking with SCREEN, Boney Kapoor remembered some memories while he used to live in the same neighborhood as the Kapoor family. He revealed that Raj Kapoor's car was often parked waiting for him to return so they would all meet for dinner and it lasted until the early hours of the morning. He then revealed that he was given the playful nickname 'Cinderella' by Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu Kapoor.
Boney also remembered the time when the actor expressed his desire to honor the late actress Sridevi with an award. He said that the last event Raj Kapoor attended before his passing was the silver jubilee celebration of Mr. India. Boney had hoped Raj would present the award to him, but the legendary actor insisted, saying, “I will give it to her." He made sure Sridevi sat at the same table as him and revealed to Boney that he wanted her to do the film Ghunghat Ke Pat Khol.
Boney also talked about his personal bond that he shares with Raj Kapoor revealing their relationship as close. He recalled the time when they watched his first film Hum Paanch, Raj told him, "You will be responsible for the first branch of Kapoors."
