Bonbibi teaser: Parno Mittrah, Sohini Sarkar’s drama sends chills down the spine

Rajdeep Ghosh’s Bonbini premiered at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival last year. Now the film is set to be released. The teaser is out. The one-minute-long video shows a dark picture of Sunderban when lives are threatened not only by the wrath of the Royal Bengal Tiger but also by its ruthless people.

The film features Parno Mittrah, Arya DasGupta, Sohini Sarkar, Rupanjana Mitra, Dibyendu Bhattacharjee, Ranojoy Bishnu, and others. The daily livelihood in Sunderban involves life risk. The teaser shows glimpses of the risk while fishing or collecting honey. A question hangs in the air – who poses the gravest danger, the Royal Bengal Tiger or the powerful people?

People there worship Bonbibi, the goddess of forest – who is worshipped by both Hindu and Muslim communities. Parno plays Resham, the protagonist. Arya Dasgupta, Rupanjana Mitra, and Ranojoy Bishnu play other important roles. Ranojoy will play a cop.

The film will be released on March 1. Rajdeep Ghosh directed the film. It is produced by DCM Film & Entertainment.
