It's noteworthy that Karthik directed Suryah in Iraivi. The 2016 movie examined how prevailing of the toxic masculinity in society affected everyone's life, including those who indulged in it.
Filmmaker Radhamohan has written and directed Bommai. Judging from the trailer, Suryah essays the role of a man with some physiological problem. The protagonist in the film develops a profound affection towards a mannequin at the readymade garment shop he works. And his love for that inanimate object grows deeper and deeper to an extent when things begin to get violent.
Earlier, Suryah noted that "the police station" scene in Bommai, will be as powerful as "the railway station" scene in Iraivi. The sneak peek gives a glimpse of Suryah's performance in the said scene.
Suryah's character could be seen narrating the tragedy of his life. He talks about a young girl he loses at a very young age and how he has not been able to move on with his life since.
The movie has Priya Bhavanishankar as the female lead.
