Helmed by Tamil director V C Vadivudayan, the movie will feature Mallika in a never-seen-before avatar
Popular Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is getting ready for her debut in Tollywood with the V C Vadivudaiyan directorial Nagamati. The movie which is reported to be an epic drama, will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
According to the Onmanorama report, Mallika will be appearing in a never-before-seen avatar in the movie, which is set in three time periods - 1900, 1947 and 1990. The formal muhurat event of Nagamati was launched recently by the makers in Mumbai. It is also buzzed that the shoot will begin very soon.
Mallika was all excited while speaking to the media regarding the movie. She said that she had never done a Tamil movie after Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam. As the movie is made in Tamil and Telugu, she seems equally euphoric for both.
The actress is known for her strong on-screen attitude in movies like Khwahish and Murder. She rose to fame after her critically acclaimed romantic comedy Pyaar Ke Side Effects. She is one of the few Bollywood actors who have made a mark in Hollywood’s territory. Her international movies include Hisss Politics of Love and The Myth, in which she co-starred with Jackie Chan. Besides being an actress, she is also involved in women’s rights activism.

Meanwhile, Nagamati director Vadivudaiyan is known for his horror movies Pottu, Veeramadevi and Sowkarpettai. The music scores for the movie will be by Amrish, who is famous for his works in movies like Charlie Chaplin 2 and Motta Siva Ketta Siva.
More details about the cast, crew and storyline of the film are yet to be out.
