Fans were excited when the film was announced. Right from the very first note of the opening score, Dhrubo Banerjee’s Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo promises a rollercoaster ride of drama and playful dialogues. Like Dawshom Awbotaar, this film is a co-production effort from Jio Studios and SVF Entertainment. The first look is released through a number of shots and the video looks engaging.

There was a general curiosity to know who would play Bogola Mama, a character created by author Rajkumar Moitra. Then Kharaj Mukerjee's name was announced. After an animation poster, Kharaj's first look at the film was dropped on Thursday.

In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Kharaj said, “Bogola Mama is a part of our literature but he got lost with time. I want to thank Dhrubo for bringing back the character.” But Kharaj had no idea that he would be called for the character. He said, “No one thought of me in that way. I played many characters but it was surprising that the producer thought of me to play the titular role.” The makers wanted him to give his best. “At this age, when it was time to leave the fight, I felt good getting the offer. I tried my best,” he said.

Riddhi Sen, Ditipriya Roy, Ujaan Chatterjee, and other new-generation actors worked in the film. Kharaj said, “The young actors were of course fabulous, and so were the older actors like Kaushik Sen, Rajatava Dutta, and Aparajita Adhya. They all gave their best. People will get the taste of old Bengali films.”

The first-look video comes with engaging music by Indraadip Das Gupta. Some fans compared the film, seeing the teaser, with iconic films like Jomaloye Jibonto Manush and Char Murti. But Kharaj does not want to compare. Dhrubo plans to make the sequel also. Kharaj said, “I also heard so. But firstly, I want the audience to like the film.” The release date has not been finalised yet
