Streaming platform Netflix has partnered with Barack and Michelle Obama‘s Higher Ground Productions for the thriller series Bodkin, which will drop on May 9. Recently, the makers shared an intriguing trailer that gives insight into the mysterious world of Bodkin, where sinister truths are buried in the quaint Irish town.

In the trailer, we are introduced to the quaint, coastal town of Bodkin that becomes a center of attraction for three podcasters who embark on a quest to solve the mysterious disappearance of three strangers. However, things become bizarre when they discover that this is more than a simple investigation. The investigators soon grapple with the grim reality of the cold case, which may be connected to the present. “Whatever happened that night is still important to someone,” one of the podcasters shares in his intense voice.
