Bobby Deol’s latest release Aashram 3 has received equal amount of praises and backlash. The lead actor, who plays Baba Nirala in Prakash Jha’s series, spoke about the backlash this show has received. He said that he doesn’t care about the backlash for the show but only what backlash he receives as an actor.

Bobby spoke to Zoom Digital and said, “As an actor, I just want people to love my work. I am only scared about the backlash I will get as a performer, nothing else matters to me.”

The actor shared that Aashram is about sending a message to the viewers and showing them the world they live in. He clarified that the show is not made with the intent of defaming anyone.

Prakash Jha, who has helmed the series, also spoke about the topic. He pointed out how 1.6 billion people have viewed the show, which he states is not even the entire population of India alone.

“The moment you take a subject which has got something to do with society, religion, politics, etcetera, there will be people who will have a voice and there will be interested groups opposing that,” he said.

Aashram season 3 released on MX Player on June 3. The show has received mixed responses – both in extremes.

At the show’s end, Prakash Jha has revealed that Aashram will have a fourth season too. The fourth season changes the whole game. Everything that you saw in season 3 appears to be a ruse if the teaser of season 4 is anything to go by. Pammi (Aaditi Pohankar) and Bhopa (Chandan Roy Sanyal), especially, are two characters to look forward to.

Aashram season 3 introduced Esha Gupta to the series as Sonia who transformed Baba Nirala into Bhagwaan Nirala. The show also features Darshan Kumaar and Tridha Chaudhary in pivotal roles.
