After the release of the first single Railin Oligal, the makers of upcoming sports drama Blue Star have dropped the second single ‘Arakkonam Style’ from the film. The upcoming movie starring Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj which is helmed by debutant S. Jayakumar is produced by Tamil director Pa Ranjith’s production company Neelam Productions.

In the newly released video song, Arakkonam Style, Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu dances to this energetic and vibrant peppy number which has vocals rendered by Arivu and Gana Balachandar. The song is composed by celebrated musician Govind Vasantha who has done a wonderful job in the musical arrangements of the song. The song goes with electrifying beats, coupled with soulful renditions by singers, which resonate perfectly with the movie’s essence of sports enthusiasm, promising an audio-visual treat for music fans. The lyrics of this peppy number are penned by Arivu who has described the cultural essence of Arakkonam.

Earlier, the first single from the sports drama, Railin Oligal sung by Pradeep Kumar and Shakthisree Gopalan became a massive hit on the interest and garnered positive reception from fans, who praised the song for its composition and vocals.
About Blue Star
The story revolves around the lively setting of Arakkonam, where a spirited competition arises between two cricket teams captained by Ranjith and Rajesh (Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu). Even amidst their busy personal and professional life, the players never seize any opportunity to step onto the cricket field. However, as political influences come into play, the game goes downhill which later turns into a socio-political issue. The question of how these young cricketers navigate through this turbulent situation, forms the crux of the story.
Cast and crew of Blue Star
Blue Star, a sports-centric drama which revolves around cricket. S. Jayakumar is both the writer and director of this film. In addition to Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu, the cast includes Prithvi, Keerthi Pandian, and other talents. Jointly produced by Neelam Productions and Lemon Leaf Creation, it has cinematography by Thamizh A Azhagan, editing by Selva RK and stunts by Stunner Sam. While the release is slated for this year, an official date is yet to be disclosed by the producers.
