Since yesterday, fans of the popular South African crime series ‘Blood and Water’ have been excited to witness the intriguing return of high school drama, including some dark themes like child trafficking. The fourth installment, which dropped its awaited trailer on Wednesday will be released next month on Netflix in multiple languages. Here’s more about the release date and the expected storyline for the new season.

Blood and Water Season 4 release

The fourth season of crime-thriller Blood and Water will roll out the gripping tale of troubled teenagers dealing with identity issues and other dark secrets on March 1. In the limited series, which is a Netflix original, there will be around six episodes, each centering around Fiks and Puleng as they continue to face their battles.

Cast and Trailer for Blood and Water

The story delves into the teenage challenges and sibling rivalry of two long-lost half-sisters, Puleng Khumalo and Fikile Bhele, aka Fiks, played by Ama Qamata and Khosi Ngema. In the newly released trailer, the story will center around the sisters navigating their romantic dilemmas while also facing fears of their dark past within the walls of the elite Parkhurst high school. Joining the cast is Leroy Siyafa as he portrays Fiks’ boyfriend Sam, with the new addition of André Lamoglia as the handsome hunk Ivan.

The previous season witnessed the protagonists grappling with the loss of their parents (Puleng’s father and Fiks’ mother). This season, their rivalry will be fueled by some new challenges. The trailer also highlights an unknown blackmailer trying to manipulate Puleng after she has drunken sex with the charismatic new boy, Ivan. Will she discover the identity of this new threat? How will the siblings keep their rivalry aside to face the turmoil?
