Bimbisara OTT release date: When and where to watch Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's fantasy drama online

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's Bimbisara, which went on to become the highest grosser in his career, is ready for its OTT premiere. Debutant filmmaker Vassishta has directed the movie which was released in theatres on August 5. Samyuktha Menon and Catherine Tresa play female leads in the fantasy drama.

The movie's story revolves around a cruel, cold-blooded king from several centuries ago landing at Hyderabad city in the present time. Quite taken aback by the changes around him, he takes some time to realize that he has traveled to the future through a bizarre mirror. How he rectifies his past and solves a few problems in his predecessors' lives form the rest of the story.

The movie opened to positive reviews from critics and film lovers. The background score by Keeravani, dual performances of Kalyan Ram and the engaging screenplay were a few factors which garnered praise from everyone. Bimbisara was one of the few movies which brought cheer to Tollywood in August as the industry was facing several failures in the last few months.    

Prakash Raj, Srinivas Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Rajeev Kanakala and Brahmaji among others essay pivotal roles in the film which has cinematography by Chota K Naidu and editing by Tammi Raju.

Bimbisara is dropping on Zee5 on October 21, two and a half months after its theatrical release. The movie bankrolled by NTR Arts is one of the most profitable ventures in Telugu in 2022. The film was the first outing for Kalyan Ram in the post-pandemic era. The project will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on Zee5.

His previous release was Entha Manchivaadavuraa, which hit the screens in 2020, a couple of months before the first lockdown was implemented across the country.
