Biju Menon and Asif Ali in Thalavan
The upcoming Malayalam film Thalavan, directed by Jis Joy, is all set to hit the big screen soon. The investigative thriller, starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali in the key roles, will be released in theatres on May 24.
The release of Thalavan, which was originally scheduled for February 23, was delayed for unknown reasons. On the other hand, it is likely that the movie was given fewer screens due to the release of some of the other highly anticipated Malayalam films of 2024 in February, which might have caused the postponement.

When the movie was announced at the end of the previous year, the two could be seen on the motion poster dressed as police officers, along with an engaging soundtrack. Thalavan seems to be a gripping tale about the ego battle between two police officers of different ranks.
The teaser does not reveal much about the plot but it does allude to some intriguing action sequences that are similar to the extremes of male ego found in Biju Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
Asif Ali and Biju Menon shared the movie poster on their official social media pages. They sparked a great deal of excitement among their followers when they wrote, “You are in the battle forever with the one who is as strong as you!"
The actors were praised by viewers for their prior police officer roles, which made them great choices for this film. After a brief hiatus, Jis Joy is also finally getting a theatrical release, much to the audience's excitement.

Under the auspices of Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios, Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian have provided financial backing for the film. The screenplay was written by Sharath Perumbavoor and Anand Thevarakkattu, and Sharan Velayudhan is in charge of the camera work.
