Bigg Boss Ultimate! Day8: Vanitha adjudged as trending player of the week; support pours in for Julie

With new tasks introduced in the house, more drama is expected to unfold in the coming weeks,

After a few interesting tasks which helped the contestants open up about their plans and strategy to win the title, the contestants of Bigg Boss Ultimate are now given opportunities to express their liking and disliking for their housemates in the new tasks. One of them includes a unique one in which the 14 contestants are asked to indulge in open nomination in front of everyone.

More contestants nominated Julie and Suja; while the former appeared disappointed, the latter maintained her poise. Another task involved housemates expressing their liking to their favourite housemates by pasting photos of theirs.

Julie broke down when she felt Vanitha was seen targeting her repeatedly. The latter nominated the former during the open nomination task and expressed her liking for Abhirami when the former was actually expecting her to mention her name. Thamarai was seen consoling Julie after the latter couldn't control her tears.

Apart from the new tasks, Bigg Boss also announced that he will choose a trending player every week and that they will be given rewards. As per the rule, no housemates are allowed to nominate the trending player for the week.

Vanitha has been chosen as the trending player of this week. The actress was seen expressing the happiness in the house along with a few others in the house. However, the promo videos posted from the social media handle of Disney+ Hotstar received flak from the regular viewers of the show.

Many came down heavily on Vanitha being adjudged as the player of the week as they felt she was quite rude while behaving with others in the house. They also supported Julie as she was seen quite vulnerable in the promo videos released earlier today. This is for the first time that Julie has been getting so much of support from the viewers.
