Bigg Boss Telugu-fame Swetaa Varma's next, Kondavidu, to hit theatres on July 8

The film set against a forest backdrop also stars Pratap Reddy, Sri Krishna, Nalinkanth, Naveen Raj

Swetaa Varma, the actress who shot to fame with her appearance in Akkineni Nagarjuna hosted-Bigg Boss Telugu, is headlining a film titled Kondavidu, which is set to release in theatres on July 8. Pratap, Sri Krishna, Nalinkanth, Naveen Raj also play crucial roles in the film directed by Siddhartha Sri and bankrolled by Pratap Reddy and Dasaraju Madhusudhana Raju under BPR Cinema. Kondavidu has wrapped all its pre-release formalities and will have a wide release in Telugu states.

"I thank actors Sunil and Srikanth for releasing our trailer and teaser. I did many films during COVID-19 and Pratap Reddy garu was of immense help when I was a part of Bigg Boss Telugu. We planned to have an OTT release for Kondavidu initially but our producers were confident of the content and are now releasing it in theatres. The director and producer have worked very hard to ensure a good, uncompromised result and provided work to many. I hope audiences encourage us," said Swetaa Varma.

"The producer Pratap Reddy liked my story immensely and came forward to produce the film under BPR Cinema. When the film was being shot in a forest, he trusted our team completely and didn't compromise with the film's stunts and songs. I thank my producer for the opportunity," stated director Siddhartha Sri. Pratap, the actor, shared that he did a full-length negative character and added the shoot felt like a paid holiday.

"Given the COVID-19 scenario, I believed in the director's story and we shot it mostly in forest locations. Swetaa Varma and the cast have done a good job. The film and the songs have shaped up well. I'm hopeful of the film's result," the producer mentioned. Kondavidu has music by Kanishka and is cinematographed by Raghu Royal. Shiva Sarvani is the editor.
