The season of Bigg Boss Tamil was launched on Sunday. Following the tradition, the show's host Kamal Haasan presided over the grand opening ceremony. However, departing from the routine meet-and-greet of the contestants, Kamal added an extra delight into the mix with his impeccable comedy timing.

The opening ceremony began tracking every moment of Kamal in his hotel room. You know just to give him the taste of what it means to be watched be under constant surveillance by cameras 24/7. And Kamal uses the opportunity to stoke up the curiosity of the audience by promising something very experiential.

In Tamil cinema, Kamal Haasan and experimentation go hand in hand. However, keeping in line with the season's main thematic idea, which is two houses in the same compound, Kamal, the show's host, came face-to-face with an unnamed fan of the show, played by Kamal, through 'Agam TV.'

And what follows is about 10-minute performance by Kamal, offering a tour of the new house setup and introducing rules that promise to inject more drama and excitement into the daily happenings on the show.

The confirmed list of Bigg Boss Tamil 7 contestants

The season seven of the show was launched with as many as 18 contestants. Cool Suresh, Poornima Ravi, Raveenda Daha, Pradeep Antony, Nixen, Vishusha Devi, Maichandra, Akshaya Udayakumar, Jovika, Aishwarya, Vishnu Vijay, Maya Krishnan, Saravana Vickram, Yugendran, Vichithra, Bava Chelladurai, Ananya Rao and Vijay Varma were the first batch of contestants who entered the house on the opening night of the season.

Fans can catch condensed daily episodes of the house's happenings in episodic format at 9:30 PM on Star Vijay. Additionally, they can stream episodes and access live feeds from the house 24/7 on Disney+Hotstar.
