Bigg Boss Tamil 6: Shivin's tale during the storytelling task moves audiences, Twitterati call her a fighter

Ever since Vijay Television released a promo of Shivin Ganesan, narrating her trials and tribulations in life, she has found a newfound fan following among the audience. Bigg Boss had recently assigned a task to the contestants where they had to speak about their challenges in life. And winners of the task will escape nomination next week. While Dhanalakshmi and Nivashini's tales grabbed the attention of housemates yesterday, it looks like Shivin's tale has touched a chord among the audiences.

In the promo, Shivin is seen saying how she had to separate from her mother and move to Singapore, only because of her gender identity. In the video she is seen saying, "My mother was scared that I will never be able to find a job, so she sent me to Singapore to pursue a career. I have not committed any mistake, neither did my mother. My gender identity separated us. I wanted to come back and help my mother but she was persistent that I stayed back. There are many people from the trans community who have stories like mine and are living their life devoid of love and affection. If their situation needs to improve, more people need to hear our stories, which was one of the reasons that I decided to be part of the Bigg Boss show."

Meanwhile, support is pouring in for Shivin from the Twitterati. A user called Raghu wrote,"Shivin's story is not just a personal story but a voice for a community that can face death in some places simply for existing. Pressing the buzzer against her is pressing the buzzer against an entire community (sic)."

Another user called Sanjeevan wrote on his social media handle," OMG Shivin I'm rooting for her from now on. If she wins, it would definitely be a game changer for all the transgenders out there. Go for it girl (sic)."

Shivin had revealed during her introduction that despite the challenges, she was ready to face them all and hence, moved back to India. She had stated that she wanted to make the next generation of trans teens more confident so that they are ready to face the battle.
