Social media sensation GP Muthu's sudden exit from the house has come as a surprise and shock for the viewers of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Tamil and his fans. GP Muthu has been telling housemates for the last few days that he is feeling homesick and that he badly wanted to go home. Though speculations were rife that the YouTuber had exited the house, the news indeed was confirmed in last night's episode.

When GP Muthu expressed his grouse, the show's host Kamal Haasan said that he was receiving a lot of love and adulation from his fans and that this was a golden opportunity, but advised GP Muthu to listen to his heart at the end. GP Muthu chose to leave the house. The news came as a shock to his housemates as well.

Ever since the last two seasons of the show, GP Muthu's name as contestant has cropped time and again but he was finally confirmed as a contestant in the sixth season. In fact, he was the first contestant to enter the house this time around. So, his sudden exit has made many upset. However, many Twitter users have praised the YouTuber who chose his family over fame. A user wrote, "Golden opportunity to lift the trophy & 50 Lakh. Thalaivar prefers his family #GPMuthu - Kaasa vida, pasam perusu (sic)"

Another Twitter user wrote, "For #GPMuthu Fame, Money all is lesser to the pasam on his son.. Standing claps, and the word from #KamalHaasan itself saya that he is a strong competitor thats equal to the cup... Stay strong anna u will be happy always (sic)."

A handle called GP Muthu Army wrote, "Last Two Weeks I Laughed and Enjoy the Moment Because of you Thalaiva we always Miss you ThalaivaEppavum Happy irunga Stay Strong Thalaivare Get Well Vishnu #GPMuthu #GPMuthuArmy #BiggBossTamil6 (sic)."

Meanwhile, many of his fans have stated on social media that now that their favourite contestant has walked out of the show, they will stop watching this season. Some even compared his exit to that of another crowd favourite Oviya's exit in season one.
