Bigg Boss Tamil 6: Janany in race with GP Muthu to become fan favourite

When the sixth edition of Bigg Boss Tamil was launched last Sunday (October 9), barring a handful of faces, the line-up of contestants seemed to be dominated by unfamiliar faces. Needless to say, social media sensation GP Muthu, who has a massive fan following in the state, emerged as the fan favourite. Speculations were rife in the last two seasons that the YouTuber will be part of the reality show. So this time around, when Muthu finally made it to the Bigg Boss house, he stated in his intro that he is fulfilling the wishes of his fans. "Are you all happy," he asked on day one.

But it looks like the YouTuber is gradually getting some  competition from Janany, the TV presenter from Sri Lanka. Termed as one of the youngest contestants of the season, her Sri Lankan Tamil dialect and her bold attitude is already winning hearts. And her popularity meter sprang up recently after she came out in support of GP Muthu after Dhanalakshmi targeted the YouTuber. Muthu's eyes had welled up after Dhanalakshmi's unexpected behaviour when she came down heavily on Muthu and videos of him crying went viral on social media.

Much to the surprise of many, Janany came out in support of Muthu and stated that Dhanalakshmi should have watched her behaviour and that she should have been polite to Muthu, who was much older than herself. While Dhanalakshmi is being trolled on social media for her brash behaviour, Janany's gesture has won the appreciation of GP Muthu fans. Fans of both the contestants have been now supporting each other on social media. Interestingly, when the show began and Janany had earned herself a huge chunk of fans, Muthu and Janani were pitted against each other. But after the incident, it looks like Janany, too has become a fan favourite along with Muthu.
