In a recent promo, Salman Khan revealed that he will be hosting Bigg Boss 15 on TV but before that, the reality show will be streaming on Voot for six weeks. Titled Bigg Boss OTT the web-based reality show is set to stream from August 8, 2021. It was reported that Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill will be hosting the show. But no, it's none other than Karan Johar who has been roped in to host Bigg Boss OTT for the very first time.

Confirming the report, the ace filmmaker said in a statement, "My mom and I are huge Bigg Boss fans and wouldn't miss it for a day. As a viewer, it keeps me hugely entertained with dollops of drama. For decades now, I have always enjoyed hosting shows and now with Bigg Boss OTT... it will surely be over-the-top."

While describing what can one expect from the reality show, Karan said it will undeniably have a lot more sensational and dramatic content. KJo hopes that he can live up to the audience's and his friends' expectations. He also said that he wants to make Weekend Ka Vaar with the contestants an enjoyable affair in his own style and up the ante on the entertainment quotient.

Karan also revealed that being a part of Bigg Boss OTT is a dream come true for his mother Hiroo Johar.

The filmmaker has hosted and judged several reality shows but it will be his first association with Bigg Boss. However, the list of confirmed contestants is yet to be out.

KJo is also gearing up for his next directorial titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles while Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi will be seen in supporting roles.
