Bigg Boss OTT 2 had its grand premiere on June 17, 2023

Salman Khan has turned the newest host for Bigg Boss OTT season 2. The first season was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. With Salman’s entry, many things have changed with this season.

Salman and Voot’s collaboration goes a long way. He has hosted the TV version of Bigg Boss (Hindi) for over a decade. Thus, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the superstar was roped in to play the host this season of Bigg Boss OTT. However, there’s a twist.

This time, since Voot itself has collaborated with Jio Cinema, Bigg Boss OTT season 2 would stream on Voot. The show will start streaming from 9 pm today. Anybody can watch the reality TV show for free through the app.

The timings of the show are likely to be 9 pm on weekdays and 8.30 pm on weekends, much like the TV show. The makers are yet to reveal an official announcement on the same.

For the first time ever, the audiences can interact and make decisions for the contestants on the show. They will build unique scenarios for the participants and will have a big say when it comes to ration of the house, eliminations and big decisions in a task. With that, the show promises to be extremely exciting.

The house will host contestants like Puneet Kumar, Avinash Sachdev, Palak Purswani, Akanksha Puri, Jiya Shankar, Falaq Naaz and Cyrus Broacha, among others. Out of them, Avinash and Palak are actually exes who had spent four years together and even had a roka ceremony. Exactly a year later, they called things off.

Manisha Rani and Pooja Bhatt bond. Meanwhile, Avinash, Abhishek and Puneet talk about Pooja. Abhishek didn't know who is Pooja.

Avinash and Abhishek clash heads at Abhishek not knowing Pooja. Meanwhile, Manisha continues flirting with Jad. Meanwhile, Puneet starts with his antics. He applies two toothpaste bottle's worth on his face and washes his hair with handwash. Amidst the madness, Salman bids everyone goodbye.

Pooja Bhatt is revealed to be one of the contestants on the show. Salman guides her before she heads on to her journey. She goes in the house and meets everyone.

Meanwhile, there's still doubt on Palak and Akanksha's fate. If they go, they will go in the house without BB currency and have 24 hours to prove themselves.

Salman cannot stop laughing before introducing Superstar (Lord) Puneet. His introduction itself is bound to get viral.

Salman advises Puneet that he would never get a girlfriend, the way he talks. He ranks on number two with Rs. 1,25,000 Bigg Boss currency. He gets demoted to number 10 and gets Rs. 20,000.

Salman introduces Avinash Sachdev. He enters on Pyaar Hota Kayi Baar Hai from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He ranks ninth and earns Rs. 90,000.

The host introduces his ex, Palak Purswani on the stage. The host loses his calm on the makers for putting him in the situation.

Palak gets called out for sharing the news of her participating on Bigg Boss OTT 2 with her friends. She also asked them to vote for her. This was her second mistake and thus, she was put on the spot.

Avinash's rank goes from five to three. He gets to go in the house without Palak. After going in the house, he talks about her with Falaq, Jiya and Cyrus.

Palak is put on hold but there are no seats for her. Babyka and Aaliya go in the house, finally.

Salman then introduces 'Habibi, Come To Dubai' famed Jad Hadid. After leaving Manisha impressed, Sunny teaches him Hindi through Sunny Deol's Gadar. He is ranked at number six and gets Rs. 65,000. His ranking changes to number five with Rs. 90,000.

Salman introduces Cyrus Broacha. His Bakra is spoken about again. The jokes continue with Cyrus. He gets the 10th rank and Rs. 20,000. When asked about his rating, Cyrus picks ninth spot. Cyrus gets on a date with Akanksha. Sunny changes Cyrus' rating to number two. He earns Rs. 1,35,000.

After entering, Cyrus teases Abhishek, stating he didn't have to buy followers. The trio end up bonding with Cyrus.

The actress then talks about being disciplined to the T. Stan asks her to remain real. She ranks third with Rs. 1,20,000. She is put in the holding area and might just go back home.

Things spice up as Abhishek says he's not a fan of Jiya anymore. She tries to ignore the fact but there's an almost fight between them.

Jiya is ranked fourth and Abhishek is first. The panelists have to make their final decision and Sunny has a banter with Abhishek. He gets bashed from many. Eventually, they are ranked sixth, together and have Rs. 65,000.

The two finally meet Falaq. Abhishek tries to ask Jiya why was he called nakli hawa, putting her in a spot. Abhishek calls the house 'strange.'

She expresses her fondness for 90s films, especially Hum Aapke Hain Koun? Salman jokes about Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan being old school and she teases that she's a fan of Andaz Apna Apna, when Salman calls himself new school.

Salman introduces Falaq Naaz to the show. She is Shezaan Khan's sister and recalls what happened since the incident. She meets Salman and talks about it. He asks her to live in the present. She then teaches Salman a dance step on Tan Tana Tan.

Salman then jokes about getting furious on the creative team of the show. Falaq talks about her anger. She refuses to take up the kitchen duties. Salman bonds with Falaq's brother, Ahaan and the superstar promises to feed him biryani.

Falaq is currently ranked ninth and has Rs. 30,000 as Bigg Boss currency, according to the audiences. The panel decide to promote her to the fourth spot, with 1,20,000 currency. Shezaan's topic is raised again. Falaq says none of her family member could grieve the loss (of Tunisha Sharma, who died in December 2023).

Salman Khan introduces Bigg Boss OTT 2 to the viewers in a unique way. He is seen with the 180 degree camera. The actor begins the show by grooving to Hangover from his movie, Kick.

Pooja Bhatt makes a special appearance on the song Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi. They have a conversation about the show and Salman calls the show over-the-top. He says the contestants wiill be 'original, transparent and top-notch.'

Ajay Jadeja, MC Stan and Sunny Leone are among the panelists. Salman talks about rankings and explains what it is. He talks about how people will have to earn their spot through the Bigg Boss currency.

Salman talks to Sunny about the show being 'hatke' and talking about the 'jhatke,' which could include evictions. "Show hit hai tabhi toh India mein hit hai," he says before introducing this season.
