Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, the sixth edition of the popular reality show hosted by Mohanlal, is nearing completion. The highly anticipated Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 grand finale will be aired tonight (June 16, 2024, Sunday). Ahead of the highly anticipated finale, speculations on the revised prize money for the BBMS6 winner have been doing rounds on social media. However, recent reports confirm that the Bigg Boss Malayalam winner’s prize money has not changed this season.

According to the sources close to the Bigg Boss Malayalam 6, the season winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh. Even though it was speculated that the makers had made some major changes in the prize for the title winner, it was later revealed to be false. For the uninitiated, the fourth and fifth seasons of the Mohanlal show awarded the title winners the same amount. If the reports are to be believed, the same will continue in the upcoming season as well.
Bigg Boss Malayalam – Here's what the winners received in previous seasons
The Bigg Boss Malayalam show was launched in June 2018 on a high note, on a grander scale. Sabumon Abdusamad, the title winner of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1, received an apartment worth Rs. 1 crore, as the prize. Even though the Bigg Boss Malayalam 2 was launched in January 2020 with the same prize, the season ended abruptly due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, and lockdowns. The show was put on hold for over two years due to the same.

When Bigg Boss Malayalam returned with its Season 3 in February 2021, the title winner’s prize was reduced. Manikuttan, the popular actor who won the show, received an apartment worth Rs. 75 lakh. Later, the makers decided to award the title winner with a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh, from the show’s fourth season. Both Dilsha Prasannan and Akhil Marar, the winners of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4 and 5, received the same amount. As per the reports, the title winner’s prize underwent a major downgrade owing to the show's poor ratings.
