Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4 premiere: Mohanlal introduces the ‘colourful’ set of contestants

The show premiered yesterday and will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar 24/7.

The fourth season of Bigg Boss Malayalam kicked off in a colourful way as promised. During its premier episode viewers were taken on a tour of the house this season, guided by host Mohanlal. The luxurious house, designed by Mary Kom helmed Omung Kumar, seems to have a few stylish changes this time around, with a huge light up tree,a regal confession room, a jail-like structure and a snazzy ‘secret room’.

Mohanlal introduced us to the contestants who are destined to spend 100 days inside the Bigg Boss house, located in Mumbai’s Film City. This season features 17 contestants, consisting of actors, influences and other well known personalities. They include, Naveen Arakkal, Janaki Sudheer, Laskhmi Priya, Blesslee, Dilsha Prasannan, Suchithra Nair, Sooraj Thelakkad, Aparna Mulberry, Aswin Vijay, Nimisha, Dr Robin Radhakrishnan, Dhanya Mary Varghese, Shalini Nair, Jasmine M Moosa, Akhil BS, Daisy David and Ronson Vincent.

Names such as that of Suraj, Lakshmi Priya and Jasmine had been doing the rounds on social media, before the list of contestants had even been confirmed.

The contestants were given a chance to interact with Mohanlal and give brief introductions about themselves before going into the house. After they all got settled, Mohanlal addressed them all together, and mentioned how they would be monitored 24/7 this time for the first time in the show’s run. The star also wished them the very best before signing off. Mohanlal will make appearances during the weekend episodes of the show.

Bigg Boss Malayalam can be watched on Asianet and Disney+ Hotstar. On weekdays, it will be aired at 9:30 PM, while on the weekends episodes will start at 9 PM.
