Kiccha Sudeep, who has been the host of the Kannada version of the popular reality show since its inception, will be back this time too

Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 will be in a new house with new set of contestants
Last year, around this time, the first-ever OTT season of Bigg Boss Kannada was heading towards its final stages. The mini season of 6 week duration had a bunch of contestants, four of who were to be given direct entry into the 100-day TV season. This year, there’s no news of an OTT season, and Kiccha Sudeep, who has served as host of the reality show since 2013, is currently bang in the midst of shooting for his next film Max. While there were a few new film announcements on Sudeep’s birthday on September 2, there were also whispers of an impending 10th season of Bigg Boss Kannada too.
A video from the showrunners that Bigg Boss would be back soon has promised something special, which, it is said, will be revealed by mid-September. Next week, the team will shoot for the promo, after which official announcements will happen. The buzz is that the show will kick-off on October 10, even though September 30 is also being heard as a likely date. What’s also interesting is that this season a new house will be debuted for the show. After years of the same house set at Innovative Film City, the showrunners have found a new venue in Bengaluru.
This time, it is believed that Season 9’s Naveenaru vs Praveenaru concept will be discarded in favour of a full set of new contestants. This will be a mix of actors from cinema and TV, as well as a few social media influencers and celebrities from social circles. Some of the names that are making the rounds on social media as potential Season 10 contestants are actresses Megha Shetty, Rekha, Asha Bhatt and Namrata Gowda, actor Suneel Raoh, singer Ishani, YouTuber Nikhil as well Instagram reel fame Bhumika Basavaraj. There will be 16 contestants in all on this season of the show.
