Bigg Boss Kannada OTT Week 4 double elimination: The journey ends for Chythrra Hallikeri and Akshata Kuki

With only two more weeks to go in the first-ever season of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT, this is the first double elimination. So far, Kiran Yogeshwari, Spoorthy Gowda and Uday Surya were nominated on votes, while Arjun Ramesh and Lokesh Kumar had to leave on medical grounds.

In the week four panchayat, Bigg Boss Kannada OTT had a double elimination. Eight contestants were up for elimination, namely Rakesh Adiga, Akshata Kuki, Chythrra Hallikeri, Sonu Srinivas Gowda, Sanya Iyer, Jashwanth Bopanna and Nandini. Rakesh was the first to be safe, followed by Sanya, Jashwanth, Nandini. It then came down to the four women, Jayshree, Akshata, Chythraa and Sonu. When host Sudeep asked the other contestants who they thought should leave and who should be saved, they were torn between all four, with no one coming across as the clear-cut must-leave participant. Jayshree was the first to be declared safe among them. (Incidentally, Jayshree had been nominated directly for nomination last week for what she did during a captaincy task.) Fresh off a stint in the Bigg Boss jail, Sonu was also safe, meaning that it was the end of the road for Akshata and Chythraa.

Earlier in the panchayat, Sonu’s attitude in the house became a major talking point. In the last four weeks, Sonu has, more often than not, shirked kitchen duties – she wouldn’t wash utensils because that would spoil her nails and kept maintaining that she doesn’t cook well. When she eventually did cook, it was something that everyone was pleasantly surprised by because it was good. Sudeep asked Sonu why she doesn’t like cooking and it became clear that she fears getting stuck in the kitchen if she showed interest. Cooking apart, Sonu has also often said that she has not come into the Bigg Boss house to ‘work’ and that, according to the host, was more like taunting Bigg Boss. Her attitude, he said, was not conducive to the environment of the house. The fact that she thought that Rakesh apologized to her because he realized his mistake and not because he did it as she felt bad about becoming Kalape, was also discussed. Rakesh, said Sudeep, is an extraordinary friend, who maintains his point of views, but is large-hearted enough to apologize for no fault of his.

In the four weeks that the contestants have been in the house, every week the Kalape has been a female participant, starting with Akshata, Spoorthi, Jayshree and now Sonu, while the captaincy has always gone to a guy irrespective of how well the girls perform in the tasks.
