But that said, Guruji isn't the only surprise factor so far as both Sonu Gowda and Jayshree Aradhya have managed to wade through the nominations on multiple occasions.
The maiden digital season of Bigg Boss Kannada is heading toward a grand conclusion. With only two weeks remaining in the competition and as many as eight contestants in the race, the stage is set for more drama to unfold inside the house. The proceedings so far have revealed that the audience favours certain contestants who are likely to win, it is safe to say that the show has also thrown a few interesting surprises.
One such surprise or 'dark horse' is the quirky IPL-fame Aryavardhan Guruji. As someone who entered the house with very little social media backing and featured mostly as the contrast element to the otherwise youthful vibe of the house, Aryavardhan Guruji began things on a slightly tricky note. There were large communication gaps, trust issues, and squabbles in the initial weeks and one felt that he wasn't particularly competent when it came to the tasks either. The physical altercation with Uday Surya during one of the earliest tasks didn't help Guruji either who, for all the glaring reasons, looked all set to be on the way out. And yet, he survives thus far!
While the stark change in the performance could be attributed to an individual effort, the fact that Aryavardhan Guruji has remained mostly under the radar has also helped him in his cause. His altercations with fellow contestants have been considerably minimal during the course which has resulted in a calmer and more sensible demeanour to show through: be it as the go-to cook in the kitchen or as a friend in need, Aryavardhan Guruji has impressed both his housemates and the vast digital audience outside. So much so that he even skipped the Week 4 nominations.
Alongside, the fact that Guruji manages to 'unintentionally' entertain both host Kiccha Sudeep and his fellow contestants has also buoyed him.
But that said, Guruji isn't the only surprise factor so far as both Sonu Gowda and Jayshree Aradhya have managed to wade through the nominations on multiple occasions. While Sonu Gowda's naivety and unabashedness have allowed her to survive eliminations, Jayshree has done so either by hook or crook but, at the same time, has also shown consistent improvement in her performance. Despite the frequent arguments with the housemates and the ongoing cold feud with Nandini, Jayshree has shimmied her way into Week #5 of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT.
Thanks to the credible show that Jayshree Aradhya put up the previous week she was adjudged the Best Performer while Sonu Gowda came through as the worst or 'Kalpe'.
Well, the countdown for the finale has begun already and with the likes of Rakesh Adiga, Jashwant Bopanna, and Nandini still being the most-favoured contestants of the lot, it would be interesting to see how Aryavardhan Guruji, Sonu Gowda, and Jayshree Aradhya fare in the upcoming eliminations. More updates to follow soon.
