The actor-politician was initially seen as a front-runner to win the reality show’s first OTT only season
Since his exit from the show, Arjun has been doing TV interviews
When actor-politico Arjun Ramesh was announced as a contestant on the first-ever season of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT, it was reported that he would miss the release of his next film outing, Koutilya, which is coming to theatres on August 26. Based on his performance in the Bigg Boss house, Arjun was the first captain too, but soon enough, during a task that involved grabbing number cards, he injured his shoulder, which necessitated medical care.
Arjun was subsequently seen sporting a sling to support his arm and shoulder and getting physiotherapy for the injury. But despite the treatment he was receiving, Arjun said that he continued to be in pain and asked to be allowed to leave the house at the end of week 1 itself. Show host Kiccha Sudeep, though, asked him to persevere and so, Arjun remained in the house for another week, but then claimed that he couldn’t take the pain anymore and was allowed to return home.
On Saturday, after his routine doctor’s visit, Arjun left Bigg Boss. In the two weeks that he was on the show, especially after his injury, he not only complained of the pain, which was difficult for him to handle, but also about missing his family. For the uninitiated, the actor, who is also the councilor of T Narsipura ward, has not one, but two wives, with whom he has one child each.
Arjun’s exit after two weeks has given rise to rumours that it was a planned strategy for him to not have a long stint in the house, given that he not only has an upcoming release that he needs to promote, but also that it is impossible for him to abstain from his official duties as councilor for the 42-day duration of the show. Also, upon his exit, Arjun has already begun doing the rounds of TV channels for post Bigg Boss interviews, instead of staying home and resting his arm.
