The second week panchayat with host Sudeep focused on the changing dynamics within the house. After the week 1 elimination and the following nominations, the bonding between contestants, the competitive spirit in tasks has changed, he said.

This week, nine contestants were nominated for elimination, six of which were girls. As usual, Sudeep asked around among the contestants who they thought were going to be safe and announced the first few who had survived, namely Rakesh Gowda, then Aryavardhan, Sanya Iyer, Somanna Machimada, Nandini, Sonu Gowda and Jayshree Aradhya. When it then came down to Akshata Kuki and Spoorthi Gowda, the question was who wouldn’t last in the house and Spoorthi’s name was the popular choice. The actress was, after all, voted worst performer and had even spent 24-hours locked up in the Bigg Boss house jail. Turns out, Spoorthi was the one leaving the house.

In fact, earlier in the evening, during the panchayat, among the many things that Sudeep discussed, Spoorthi’s reaction to being adjudged ‘kalape’ was deemed not right. He told the actress that instead of taking it in her stride and pushing herself in the tasks thereafter, she did not put herself out there and didn’t take the lead, which didn’t bode well. It was a sign of her personality, he said.

Bigg Boss Kannada OTT Season 1, which began with 16 contestants, is already down to 12 people, with two eliminations on weekly voting, Kiran Yogeshwar and now Spoorthi Gowda. Comedian Lokesh Kumar had left the house earlier on medical grounds after injuring his leg during a task, while Arjun Ramesh, who hurt his shoulder around the same time but stuck on one more week, was also allowed to leave as he was not getting better.

During the panchayat, some other topics that came up included were about why the contestants felt that Aryavardhan was not being straight-forward about his opinions, and whether he was a soft-target for the others to pick on. The subject of groupism within the house came up with some arguing that the contestants are, most definitely, split in cliques, and others saying it is not like that.

The most fun discussion, though, was when Sudeep asked Jashwanth about whether he prefers home-cooked meals or hotel food. While the host was referring to his relationship with Nandini and about not having a roving eye, for a while, Jashwanth did not catch on to the fact that Sudeep was ragging him about it. For the uninitiated, after a task that involved contestants to stand in a certain position on a pedestal that did not provide much foot support with arms raised, Sanya, who spent 6-7 painful hours on it, was given a shoulder massage by Jashwanth.
