This week in the Bigg Boss Kannada house has been nothing short of toxic. Divided into two teams of angels and demons, the participants of the latter had to unleash their evil side on the others. At one point, Drone Pratap and Sangeetha Sringeri were not only waterboarded by the opposing team, but with detergent in the mix, which made its way to their eyes, following which, both of them had to be rushed for medical treatment. After spending a few days in hospital, for treatment of Superficial Corneal ulcerations, Sangeetha and Pratap are back in the house, but with special goggles to protect their eyes against photosensitivity.

While viewers have often highlighted rude and objectionable behaviour of contestants since the beginning of this season, it has now come to a point where they have begun comparing it to the show Squid Games. Several even took to social media with video glimpses of the task, tagging the Bengaluru City Police and requesting them to take action against this cruel behaviour bordering on human rights violations. In response, the showrunners have apparently disabled these videos citing copyright violation.

A social media post, allegedly from Sangeetha’s brother, in which he has addressed host Kiccha Sudeep and the showrunners, Colors Kannada, about how the previously family friendly show has in its milestone 10thedition become about unchecked aggression and violence. The Bigg Boss kannada house, according to the showrunners, was a haven of safety. The post also asks why Bigg Boss was waiting for Sudeep to step in and sort this out. Netizens are now waiting to see how Sudeep handles tonight’s Weekend Panchayat, given that the contestants used chemically toxic substances like toilet cleaners, detergents and shaving foam, among others, for this task.
