The as-yet-untitled film is likely to go on floors in June
Actress Divya Uruduga, who was last seen in Face 2 Face and is best known as the second-runner up of the last season of Bigg Boss Kannada, has signed up for her first film since coming out of the house. Interestingly enough, Divya has chosen a film with Aravind Kaushik, who she collaborated with on her debut film Huliraya in 2017. The as-yet-untitled project is likely to go on floors sometime in June, by which time the team will probably reveal more details about the cast, including the lead hero, and the title, among others.
Divya has been quoted as saying that she has been having a lot of script narrations, but chose to go with Aravind’s film because she has worked with him earlier and knows that he will make films with out-of-the-box content. The script of the new project, she said, is rather unique and exciting, which is why she decided to work with Aravind again.
Although she’s not at liberty to reveal too much about the subject or her role, for that matter, Divya says that her character is that of a girl who is quite practical and rooted in reality. While the plot has several interesting elements, there is a love story too, making it a complete package, she reckons.
The actress, who was in the Bigg Boss house during the pandemic, has begun shooting again only recently. Divya has done a cameo in director Hariprasad Jayanna’s upcoming film Padavi Poorva, a college caper set in the 90s. Divya has a few films from before the pandemic that are slated for release in the foreseeable future, namely, 3BHK, Ranchi, Jooru and Girki. The actress, who is in a relationship with her Bigg Boss 8 co-contestant Aravind KP, is working on a Kannada web series, as well as a bunch of other interesting projects, that she says will be announced in good time.
