Salman Khan lost his dear friend and senior NCP leader Baba Siddique on October 12, 2024. The senior politician was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra. Salman immediately cancelled Bigg Boss 18's shoot and rushed to the hospital to meet the senior politician's family. A week later, Khan resumed the shoot for Bigg Boss 18 for its Weekend Ka Vaar amid death threats. The latest promo shows Salman saying that he didn't wish to be on the set, but he made it for a reason.

Salman Khan on returning to host Bigg Boss 18

Colors TV shared a new promo of Bigg Boss 18 on its social media handle. The promo begins with Salman addressing Shilpa Shirodkar and Avinash Mishra's verbal spat over food. The actor had refused to give food to Shilpa which led to her emotional breakdown. During this conversation, Khan told Shilpa that he came to Bigg Boss 18 despite not wanting to be there.

"Mujhe aaj yaha par aana hi nahi tha. Ek aadmi jo karna padta hai, vo kar padta hai (I didn't wish to come here. What a man has to do, he has to do)," said Salman. Amid his safety concerns and the death of a dear one, Khan returned to host the show to fulfill his work commitment.

Arbaaz Khan on Salman Khan's safety

A few days after Baba Siddique's demise, Arbaaz Khan spoke about Salman's safety. In April, rounds of bullets were outside Khan's Bandra residence. At an event, Arbaaz told Zoom, "We are ensuring that everybody, along with the government and the police, is making sure that things go the way they should, and, he’s (Salman) protected. Everyone is doing their best. We want to stay this way right no."

Meanwhile, Salman Khan will reportedly resume the shoot for his film Sikandar as well. The superstar will be shooting for the AR Murugadoss film with enhanced security arrangements on the set. As for Bigg Boss 18, it streams on JioCinema and OTTplay Premium. The reality show also airs on Colors TV.
