Salman Khan has returned to his show Bigg Boss 18 days after his close friend, NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead. In the recent episode of the show, the superstar said that he did not want to be back and also was not eager to meet anyone but added that he was hosting the show due to his work commitment.

In the latest episode of Bigg Boss Season 18, Salman Khan spoke to Bigg Boss contestant Shilpa Shirodkar who stopped eating food after being upset with Avinash Mishra. The superstar asked what she would do if her daughter expressed her anger on food. Shilpa replied that her anger was not directed at the food but at Avinash’s attitude. Salman then said, "Feeling se koi rishta aapka iss ghar mein hona hi nahi chahiye (You shouldn't have any connection with feelings in this house)."

Then Salman continued, "Aaj ki meri yeh feeling hai ki mujhe aaj yahan pe aana hi nahi chahiye tha. Nahi aana tha mujhe yahan par. But yeh ek commitment hai, toh isliye main yahan pe aaya hoon. Ek mera kaam hai, kaam karne aaya hoon. Mujhe kisi se na milna, mujhe aap logo se bhi nahi milna."

(Today I've a feeling that I shouldn't have come here. I didn't want to come here. But this is a commitment so I have come here. This is my work, so I have come here. I don't want to meet anyone, I don't want to meet even you guys. But I'm bound to do this)

About Baba Siddique murder

On October 12, former MLA and Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra. He was declared dead after he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital. After the incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister. They also shared a message for Salman Khan.

On October 13, a gang member of Lawrence Bishnoi shared a Facebook post. he post read that the gang targeted Baba Siddique because of his close ties to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and alleged links to underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim.

The gang member wrote, "Om, Jai Shri Ram, Jai Bharat," followed by, "I understand the essence of life, and consider wealth and the body as dust. I did only what was right, honouring the duty of friendship."

The post further read "Salman Khan, we did not want this war but you made our brother lose his life. Today the pool of decency of Baba Siddique is closed or at one time he was under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) with Dawood. The reason for his death was his links to Dawood and Anuj Thapan in Bollywood, politics, and property dealings."

Meanwhile, Salman whose security has been beefed up, is busy shooting Sikandar and Bigg Boss 18.
