After Munawar Faruqui won Bigg Boss 17, there were a few on the internet who termed him as a ‘fixed winner’. Here’s what he had to say!
The much-awaited Bigg Boss 17’s grand finale was held on Sunday night. There was an extremely close competition amongst the five finalists- Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra, Arun Mashettey and Abhishek Kumar. While many anticipated Arun Mashettey’s eviction, the one eviction that really shocked everyone (including Salman Khan) was that of Ankita Lokhande.
After all the drama, it all got zeroed down to Munawar Faruqui being declared as the ultimate winner. Even though the atmosphere was all charged up with his win, there were a few who termed him as a ‘fixed winner’. In a recent interview post his win, Munawar Faruqui addressed the allegation of him being termed as ‘fixed winner’.
In an interview with E Times, Munawar Faruqui gave a fitting reply to those who called him a ‘fixed winner’. The Bigg Boss 17 winner said the ones who termed him that should watch the entire season (of Bigg Boss 17) as, only then, they will realise as to how much scrutiny he was subjected to. He added that, prior to Bigg Boss 17, he would have willed to change the perceptions that people had about him. But now (after winning Bigg Boss 17), he became aware of the fact that he cannot change their opinion (about him).
Even though there were many who were definitely happy about Munawar Faruqui winning Bigg Boss 17, there also were a bunch of netizens who thought that the Udaariyan actor Abhishek Kumar was far more deserving than Munawar Faruqui! There were a few netizens who even went on to term Munawar Faruqui as a ‘sponsored winner’.
As of yesterday’s grand event, one saw the attendance of many celebrities who had come to the show either to support their favourite contestants or to promote their show or films. Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan had come to promote their film Shaitaan on the sets of Bigg Boss 17’s grand finale.
