The grand premiere of Bigg Boss 17 took place on October 15, 2023. One by one, all contestants of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show were introduced on the premiere night. Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain, Neil Bhatt-Aishwarya Sharma, Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar, Isha Malviya, Jigna Vora, Soniya Bansal, Munawar Faruqui and others are contestants of BB 17.

Day 1 in Bigg Boss 17 house
The episode Bigg Boss 17 began with a major showdown between Abhishek Kumar and Mannara Chopra. It all started when Kumar got irked with Mannara claiming she's already fixed her bed in the house. Upset with Abhishek, Mannara asked Isha Malviya to sort out the matter. Unfortunately, it lead to a heated argument between Isha and her ex-boyfriend Abhishek.
Bigg Boss decides to be 'biased'
Moving on, Bigg Boss asks the contestants to gather in the living area. While interacting with the contestants, BB declares that he will be biased this season. Bigg Boss plays the peacemaker and gives contestants a chance to choose their respective rooms – Dil, Dimaag aur Dum. BB says he will be biased towards who will do good for his show and wouldn't bother for the ones who won't contribute to it.
Jigna Vora opens up about being jailed for '9 months'
Furthermore, Jigna Vora spoke about the hardships she faced after being accused in a case. The BB 17 contestant revealed she was jailed for 9 months. The rest contestants got emotional hearing her story.
Munawar bonds with Mannara
On the other hand, Munawar and Mannara were seen having a light-hearted chat while also teasing each other. They seem to have started bonding well on the show.
Abhishek Kumar's heated argument with Soniya Bansal
The latter half of the episode featured Abhishek at loggerheads with Soniya Bansal. They engaged in a heated argument. The duo hurled abuses at each other. However, Ankita tried to be the peacemaker between the two.
Bigg Boss reprimands Vicky Jain
The episode continued with Bigg Boss reprimanding Vicky Jain for a 'prank' that he played in the house. BB told Vicky that if he wanted to play a prank, he should've been in 'dimaag ka ghar' instead of pretending to be in 'dil ka ghar' because of his wife Ankita.

After BB schooled Vicky, Ankita conveyed the things Bigg Boss wanted him to understand. The actress asked her husband to be up front with people.

Bigg Boss further had a conversation with Munawar, Rinku Dhawan, and Mannara in the confession room. BB revealed the aforementioned contestants are his potential favourites.
