Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, and team Cirkus were recently seen promoting their upcoming film on the Salman Khan-hosted show.
Salman Khan confirmed to be a part of Rohit Shetty's cop universe
Bigg Boss 16 is taking interesting turns with every passing day. While the Friday and Saturday episodes are any way special as that's when the host Salman Khan gets candid with the housemates, this weekend, the episodes became even more interesting with the appearance of Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, and team Cirkus who had a blast on the show.
While Ranveer and Rohit played some games with the housemates, Varun Sharma too joined them on stage to have a fun game involving a lie detector with the two of them as well as Salman Khan. When it was Rohit's turn to answer the questions, Varun cheekily asked if Salman Khan's iconic cop character Chulbul Pandey from his Dabangg franchise will ever be a part of Rohit Shetty's cop universe. The Cirkus director replied without batting an eyelid and said, "110 percent."
In fact, Rohit Shetty had already dropped major hints and expressed his wish to have Chulbul Pandey as a part of his cop universe last year when he appeared on Bigg Boss 15 along with Katrina Kaif to promote Sooryavanshi. Back then, Rohit was to begin shooting for the last leg of Cirkus and had told Pinkvilla that he'd shared the idea with Salman. "We have spoken about it, we haven't started writing it."
Rohit had also told the portal that it was too early to talk about it as there was still time for everything to happen. And now, on Saturday, Rohit confirmed that it's happening.
For those who're uninitiated, Rohit Shetty has already brought three of his most-loved cop characters together in Sooryavanshi, thereby forming his cop universe With Singham (Ajay Devgn), Simmba (Ranveer Singh) along with Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar).
While we wait for an official announcement of the film that'll bring all of them together, in the meantime, don't forget to catch Cirkus in theatres on December 23, 2022.
