Bigg Boss 16 January 30 Written Update: Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia becomes the first finalist, thanks to MC Stan and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary

Shalin Bhanot begins Day 121 in the Bigg Boss 16 house by discussing peace. Soon, Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary is coerced into listening to Archana Gautam's shayari. Despite being annoyed, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Shiv Thakare can still hear it. Sumbul Touqeer Khan discusses eating someone else's aata with Captain Nimrit. Soon after, Archana inquires about Hisaab. Shiv is informed by MC Stan that their response to Archana's shayari was improper. Nimrit becomes enraged and declares she doesn't want Archana's ration, even if it was given accidentally.

In the end, Archana irritates Nimrit by claiming that "her launde" consumes her cuisine. She then declares that Nimrit is starving after visiting Bigg Boss 16. After breaking Archana's tea mug, Nimrit urges her not to cook for them and issues a warning to slap her. Nimrit gets a shayari from Archana in which she says she is ready to fight in order to win. Sumbul claims that people are afraid of battling Archana after she refers to the mandali as "namak halal." Sumbul then challenges Archana and tells her to keep talking before leaving.

"Nobody should discuss humanity," Priyanka tells Archana. She doesn't want to take on any additional responsibilities in this situation. If Nimrit had to eat Archana's food, she claims she would go on a hunger strike. Next, Archana discusses guru-chela conversations. Then, Shalin Bhanot introduces Shiv and Stan in a new tale. On the other side, Archana makes advances toward the cameras. Shalin then joins Maahim in playing. He can be seen attempting to write a rap.

Nimrit visits the home because she won't eat the food that Archana has prepared. After Nimrit returns it, Shiv follows suit. Shalin also says that it looks like Shiv is trying to take charge of the situation. He asserts that Shiv's purpose in existing is to rule the Mandali.

Nimrit advises Archana against using sarcasm and declines to engage in debate with her. Then Nimrit puts on Archana's gown. Stan is informed by Shiv that Archana must maintain some shame. Nimrit leaves after breaking down in tears. Nimrit is still being poked by Archana, who then displays the aata.

This time, Sumbul returns it on Nimrit's behalf. Archana angers Priyanka by making a big deal out of a tiny issue. Priyanka is then summoned to the confessional shortly after. Shiv and Stan vowed that they would not eat anything made by Archana, even if Big Boss made it. Then Priyanka and Bigg Boss converse. Shiv would be the one she would control if she had the remote, because she thinks he talks wrong. Shiv declines to explain anything to Sumbul.

The confessional is then called for Shiv. This time, he gives Priyanka praise. He doesn't understand why Priyanka chose to shut it down rather than return it to her friend Archana. The same reason Shiv wants to dominate Priyanka also applies to him. While Sumbul may be using the mandali, Shiv believes she is still real.

Maahim runs after Shalin as he enters the confessional. The two enter the confessional after Bigg Boss invites Maahim to join them. Shalin is praised by Bigg Boss for his ability to control Maahim. Shalin believes that several circumstances on the show were dictated to him. He also mentions Tina Datta. He wants to avenge Shiv's mistreatment of Sumbul and Nimrit.

Nimrit and Shiv merely glare at Archana as she arrives to offer them roti. To shield himself from the loudness, Stan covers his ears. Shalin invites the mandali to join him for lunch. Since she and Archana are consuming their meals at the table, Priyanka claims they wouldn't eat. The Mandali, who eat after she goes, are questioned by Archana. Stan, who is also eating roti, is speaking with Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss claims that he consumed Mehnat's and not Zillat's roti.

The living area is where Bigg Boss wants everyone to congregate. Confounded, Archana points out the problem. Next, Bigg Boss and Sumbul discuss the sample survey. He talks about the control survey he did with Priyanka, Shiv, and Shalin while announcing the next task.

"Ticket to Finale Week" by Nimrit is mentioned. The candidates have one more chance to steal the ticket from her. Shalin is taunting once more when Bigg Boss mentions roti, reviving the conversation. Sumbul adds that nobody can eat the roti when Archana steps in to declare she made it. Nimrit desires to perform Archana's aarti.

Roti is the new task that Bigg Boss wants to assign. The new work is then described as "remote" by him. Sumbul, Shiv, Archana, Nimrit Priyanka, and Stan Nimrit are given to Priyanka, and vice versa.

Priyanka requests that Archana, if she chooses, take a firm stance on the assignment. Shalin says he has never been the captain and seeks Sumbul's assistance. Shiv is then approached by Archana, who offers her assistance. Only after she has left does Shiv turn to face her and chuckle.

Nimrit begins the task first. She is stopped by Bigg Boss, who speaks with Archana about her concerns about his aims and method of operation. The challenge, according to Archana, was designed to favour Nimrit. Nimrit dismisses Priyanka. As Priyanka's lack of consideration for Shalin's health is recalled, a fight breaks out between her, Shalin, and Nimrit. Following her previous behaviour, Shalin requests that Priyanka not try to be perfect today. After a while, Priyanka leaves the chat.

Next, Sumbul tells Shalin that she isn't forgetting the past. She is reprimanded by Shalin for not being the captain throughout the entire show. Sumbul removes Shalin from the race. Shalin's new appearance makes Shiv happy, and the mandali chuckles when she sees him. Shalin approaches Sumbul after he taunts him. She says that their disputes cannot be put behind them so quickly before clarifying that they are no longer upset with one another.

Next, Shalin removes Stan from the competition. Stan is nominated despite his accolades. This time, Archana has a makeover on one side. She complains to Bigg Boss about the same thing. Shiv departs after her and abdicates the leadership. Then, Archana and Priyanka talk about how she will return it to Shiv. Shalin is frustrated that he can never serve as captain again. He claims that instead of relaxing in the jacuzzi, he'll wind up cleaning bathrooms.

Archana rejects participating in the mission. Stan and Priyanka also object to leaving until Bigg Boss makes an announcement. Priyanka and Archana are adamant about seeing Stan first. Shiv is taken out of the race by Archana. Shiv is upset when he realises this.

Then, when Archana tries to speak with Nimrit, he requests that they speak later. As Stan and Priyanka stay put, Bigg Boss performs kaarya radd. Nimrit is the first finalist as a result of that. Stan has no doubts about Sumbul's security. The mandali cracks jokes with Shalin as he worries about the approaching nomination task. Priyanka and Archana discuss Shalin.

Stan and Shiv dial Sumbul. Then, Nimrit is perplexed as to why Shalin believed Sumbul would save him. Finally, Shiv refers to Shalin as sneaky. Nimrit accepts the prasad that Archana has prepared and thanks her. Nimrit is reminded by Shiv that tomorrow is nominations, so Archana must act appropriately. Shalin informs Bigg Boss that she was denied a standard room in the meantime. He makes jokes about being a captain while dozing off on the couch.
