Bigg Boss 16 Grand Premiere Twitter reactions: Sumbul Touqeer, Abdu Rozik are the clear favourites of fans

Bigg Boss 16 kicked off with a bang, with host Salman Khan unveiling the stellar lineup of contestants who will grace the show’s new season. The popular reality show’s latest season saw a mixed bag of contestants, from dancers to singers to television stars. Fans, who have been waiting for the show’s new season to gear its head for quite a while, had a lot to say about the grand premiere, and many took to Twitter to do just that.

It was clear that fans had already zoned in on the contestants who they would like to see win the show, and had no qualms proclaiming them as their favourites. Imlie actress Sumbul Touqeer was one of them. Remarking how ‘real’ she was, one netizen wrote “As a neutral audience and as far as I've seen all the contestants, the only contestant who seems to be very much real is #SumbulTouqeerKhan. She is 100% entertaining, 100% truthful, No arrogance, No double standards. A winning material”.

Tajikistani singer Abdu Rozik, who holds the title of being the world’s smallest singer, was another clear favourite among netizens. Users could not get over how ‘cute’ he looked and they fiercely defended the star when some of the other contestants tried to mock him.

Other contestants who netizens sang praises of include Manya Singh, Gautam Vig, Soundarya Sharma and Tina Datta.

However, not everyone was pleased with this season’s lineup of contestants. Some users claimed that the contestants this season seemed to be really ‘basic’ and added that Sajid Khan seemed to be the only recognisable celebrity this time.

The premiere of the new season also made many users remember the late Sidharth Shukla, who had won Bigg Boss 13.
