The show also features Neha Rana as the lead.
Bigg Boss 16 contestants Gautam Singh Vig and Ankit Gupta, who were a part of the same group in the house but barely spoke to each other, have now collaborated for a TV serial together. They will play lead actors in the TV show called Junooniyat. This has happened post Ankit’s eviction from the show.
Ankit told IANS that Junooniyat is a fictional musical drama show. He is glad to be able to work on this project after spending over 80 days on Salman Khan’s show.
Revealing a little more, Gautam added that the story is about three musical aspirants. He feels the show pays a tribute to people’s memories.
Ankit Gupta got evicted from Bigg Boss 16 two weeks back. His eviction left all fans in shock. Meanwhile, Gautam Singh Vig left the house pretty early on. Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary and Soundarya Sharma both were inconsolable after Ankit and Gautam left the house. Co-incidentally, they were the only pairings in the group back then. Now, while Soundarya sticks to Archana Gautam, Priyanka has paired up with Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta.
Apart from Gautam and Ankit, Junooniyat stars Neha Rana. She plays the female lead on the show. The singer-actress describes her character Elahi as ‘wounded but kind-hearted.’
While Ankit is popular for his TV show Udariyaan, co-starring Priyanka, Gautam is renowned for Naamkarann. Neha, on the other hand, has featured in shows like Ishq Pe Jor Nahin and Bunny Chow Ki Home Delivery.
