Bigg Boss 15 October 18 2021 written update: Nishant Bhat becomes the captain of the house

Jay Bhanushali, Pratik Sehajpal and Tejasswi Prakash had a massive fight over the captaincy task.

Day 17 in the Bigg Boss 15 house begins with contestants waking up to Ainvayi Ainvayi. As always, Vishal begins his commentary in the morning. This time, the ghar wasi also get their ration. Big G gets in the house with a new announcement.

Nishant and Vishal ask Tejasswi if she doesn't love them, when she says that she has given her heart to someone (referring to Bigg Boss). Jay Bhanushali then asks them if they have a joint account, to which the two respond in a hilarious manner.

Jay goes in the cave and steals the map which belongs to the jungle wasi. He then screams at Vishal for not stopping Vidhi Pandya from taking the other map. Meanwhile, the ghar wasi and jungle wasi try to protect and steal the map back from Jay. Vishal is irritated that people are getting physical and thus, refuses to participate in the task.

The jungle wasi tease Vishal for getting a radio show and going in the house. After the jungle wasi get both the maps, the ghar wasi re-discuss their strategies.

Shamita's time as a captain ends and the next captain's task is going to take place soon. Nishant, Pratik and Jay will fight for captaincy. Tejasswi gets upset with Pratik. Meanwhile, Shamita and Vishal decide that they want Nishant as a captain. Jay then asks Vishal and Tejasswi if they decided to make a new captain between Nishant and Pratik.

The 'captaincy ki race' task is announced. Tejasswi is the moderator of the task, in which the nominated captains have to order jungle wasi to make a chariot for them. The distance for that will be covered through the treadmill.

Nishant talks to Ieshaan about him saving Karan, followed by Ieshaan. Miesha gives Jay a hug and tells him that nobody will support Pratik. She, however, participates on Pratik's behalf. Pratik, Nishant and Jay are seen talking to various people. Jay is seen talking to Vidhi about going ahead with the task.

Jay is upset with somebody taking the screw from his chariot before the task. Nishant shows that he doesn't have the screw. When Pratik talks, Jay begins arguing with him. Ieshaan, too, asks Bigg Boss to disqualify the person. Jay complains to moderator Tejasswi stating he knows only one person who would do that.

Karan discusses with Simba about who they will help in the task. The two are the only ones who don't know who will they support. While Karan helps Nishant, Simba helps Pratik. Afsana gets on the treadmill for Nishant. Vidhi and Umar also helped him.

Upset, Jay starts throwing screws from Pratik's chariot. Simba starts working on the treadmill for Pratik anyway. Vishal and Shamita do not participate anywhere. Jay does not perform the task. His behaviour irks Tejasswi. She tells him that he shouldn't have thrown the part on the roof. The actress then calls Jay a 'sour loser' which makes him lose his calm. That is when Miesha confesses that Pratik did remove the screw. Akasa then asks Pratik why he's being the bad guy alone, when even Nishant did it with him. She asks Pratik how he is okay with everything.

Jay says he's disappointed with her. Simba is also disappointed with both Pratik and Miesha. Pratik justifies his actions. Tejasswi then reveals that Simba initially wanted to support Jay but did not because he gave up very easily. Thus, Nishant is the only one playing the game and he becomes the captain of the house this week. Jay and Nishant then discuss about Ieshaan talking to the choreographer. Nishant says that Karan is his priority. The two talk about how they are 'full cross' with Miesha. Nishant is disappointed but says that if he hasn't done anything wrong, then it isn't his problem. Jay then thanks Pratik for bringing Miesha's face in public.

Nishant confronts Shamita about stating about resetting the timer. She says that was for Pratik. Nishant then tells her about how Vishal is a manipulative person.

Nishant's captaincy begins on a fun note. He makes the boys apologize to Bigg Boss for oversleeping and all the things they have done wrong. Meanwhile, Tejasswi tells Karan that it is extremely difficult to approach him because of the territory around him. Karan says that he is shy but extremely fond of her. They talk about never speaking inside the house. She tells Karan that she was disappointed that he did not approach her when she was upset.

Akasa and Pratik catch up at midnight. They plan about how to keep the map away from the jungle wasi. The episode ends when they succeed in doing so.
