The actor had recently gone public on social media with his long-time beau Andleeb Zaidi, but nothing could have prepared the latter for what lay in store for her. A surprise romantic proposal, right in front of the glowing fountains and Burj Khalifa on a simple boat. Which girl can resist such a potent combination of old-school romance and good looks? Of course, she said yes!

The Ali-Andleeb love story

Ali Merchant rose to prominence with Big Boss 4, as well as his short-lived marriage with Sara Khan. His second marriage with Anam, an arranged one, also ended in 2021. He met Andleeb at a fashion show in Hyderabad a year ago, and their bond hit it off further on social media.

The proposal video is proof of their sweet and passionate relationship, as the duo were seen shedding happy tears and hugging to celebrate their engagement. Andleeb Zaidi is a Hyderabad-based model who is very driven and caring of stray and rescued animals. She is also a Miss India finalist as well as a fashion designing graduate.

Currently, Ali Merchant is getting a lot of praise for his performance in the web series Libaas. He is also set for his Bollywood debut in a lead role, in a film produced by Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother, Faizuddin.
