Bhumi Pednekar, who was last seen with Rajkummar Rao in Badhaai Do has a new project in the works for her admirers. The actor has begun filming in Rajasthan for her next project. Bhumi released a video from Jodhpur on Instagram, announcing that the filming for her next film, Afwaah, had commenced.
Bhumi will star alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film as the major character. The film is a thriller directed by Sudhir Mishra, a well-known director. The film is based on a book story set in India's heartland and is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks.
The ace filmmaker added that when the film was revealed, offering specifics about the upcoming thriller, it's a story that he has been living with for a long time, and he has spent every day trying to make it more bizarre and twisted. Underneath all of the wackiness is an important message that he wants his viewers to remember. Bhumi and Nawaz are both fantastic actors, and they have great chemistry together. Sinha is looking forward to working with them on set.
Siddiqui, who previously collaborated with Mishra on the Netflix feature Serious Men expressed his delight at the prospect of working with him again. He said it's such an honour to work with him again, especially on such a unique subject. Anubhav and Sudhir are both noted for delving into wider social issues.
