Bhooth Bangla: Wamiqa Gabbi roped in for Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy | Deets inside

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is set to team up with Priyadarshan after almost 14 years. The duo have now collaborated on a new horror comedy titled Bhooth Bangla and fans can't wait to watch the film on the big screens. The actor announced the film on his birthday and shared a motion poster which was applauded by the audience. The recent reports now reveal that Wamiqa Gabbi has now joined the cast of the film. Wamiqa Gabbi roped in for Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla

Wamiqa Gabbi has impressed the viewers with her performances in OTT shows. The actress is now set to make her theatrical debut with Varun Dhawan's upcoming action-drama, Baby John. According to the reports by Pinkvilla, Wamiqa Gabbi, who has impressed the viewers with her performances in the digital world is now set to make her theatrical debut with films like Baby John, followed by Bhooth Bangla. "She has signed the dotted lines and has a solid role in Bhooth Bangla, which will evoke laughter among the cinema going audience,” a source informed the portal.

The report further added that Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa will share a unique dynamic in the horror-comedy and not just her but the film will also have two other female actors. It’s a comic caper with horror elements, and three girls in the same house, alongside a mad ensemble comprising of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani among others. More casting of Bhooth Bangla is underway,” the source added.

The shooting of the film is expected to begin next year, in 2025.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar shared the big news of announcing the film on September 9 by sharing a motion poster with the caption: “Thank you for your love on my birthday, year after year! Celebrating this year with the first look of ‘Bhooth Bangla’! I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming… can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all. Stay tuned for the magic!”
