Anees Bazmee's horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan Triptii Dimri, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene, has officially started counting down the days until its release. Producers are gearing up to ramp up their marketing with a theatrical trailer and music throughout October, following the introduction of the teaser for this Diwali 2024 movie. As per the latest reports, Bhushan Kumar has inked a substantial non-theatrical agreement for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the largest deal in the franchise to date.

Pinkvilla reports that the digital trailer for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be released on October 6, 2024. The makers plan to launch it with an extravagant celebration in Mumbai, where the entire cast will attend.

Major right deals

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 reportedly sold its digital, satellite, and audio rights to prominent players for Rs 135 crore, according to people close to the development. Thanks to the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Netflix successfully acquired the digital rights, while Sony Network holds the satellite rights. On the other hand, an insider expresses confidence in the team's ability to generate significant revenue from the music, given that the album features four tracks deemed to be chart-topping hits.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has already raised a significant portion of its funding through the pre-sale of non-theatrical rights, according to the source. Anees Bazmee and Bhushan Kumar have spared no effort in staging the massive horror comedy. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was made on a budget of Rs 150 crore, not including print and publicity, and the insider claimed that much of that money has already been repaid through back-end negotiations.

According to the source, horror comedies are currently trending, and the success of the last film has encouraged all of the non-theatrical partners to put more money into Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Comedy has a high repeat value, so it should do well on digital and satellite platforms, as well as in theatres.
