The first glimpse for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 reveals Kartik Aaryan channelling his role as Rooh Baba, with Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit joining the fray.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is one of 2024's most anticipated films, which is no surprise! Now that the film's teaser has been released, we can finally discover what to expect from the third installment of the popular franchise. Moreover, Kartik Aaryan is back as Rooh Baba, and we are certain that the first glimpse promises the forthcoming film to be scarier, blended with fun elements.
The first glimpse of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 shows Aaryan sitting on the rocking chair in the room where Manjulika (Tabu) was locked with Anjulika (the spirit, also played by Tabu) and singing "Ami Je Tomar." While doing so, the actor shares that he not only talks to ghosts, but the spirits can also enter his body and make him their messenger. As he speaks, Aaryan's eyes emit a green glow, signifying his current state of possession.
Triptii Dimri joins Kartik Aaryan as the female lead in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Moreover, Vidya Balan is making a comeback to the franchise 17 years later, after pioneering it in Bhool Bhulaiyaa with Akshay Kumar. Not only that, but Madhuri Dixit-Nene is also an exciting addition to the cast, making the upcoming horror-comedy a much-anticipated film of the year.
Anees Bazmee previously addressed the casting of Vidya in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in an interview with Telegraph India. The filmmaker stated that Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) featured Vidya in a stellar performance. She was perfect as Monjulika, and he was eager to have her join them when they decided on the third film's direction. When they approached her, the good news is that she was really on board with the script and the film's conception of Monjulika. She signed the film because she loved the overall story.
About Aaryan, Bazmee went on to say that he has great acting chops. Whether he is playing a dramatic, comedic, or horror role, his comedic timing is impeccable, and his reactions are spot on. In the movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa never has a hero complex. He is just a regular young man who, like the rest of people, gets scared easily, and ghosts terrify him. The actor portrays the character brilliantly, and because he is an honest performer, he has a huge fan base across all demographics.
Anees Bazmee has penned the screenplay and directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is set for a Diwali 2024 release.
