Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film also features Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav.
Actor Kartik Aaryan is basking in the glory of the success of his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Also starring Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav, the horror-comedy is racing towards the Rs 100 crore club. The film became the biggest opener for any Bollywood movie this year, breaking records of Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and also Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Recently, The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri congratulated the actor on the success of his film. He took to Twitter to share his wishes. He tweeted: "Lots of congratulations and love to @TheAaryanKartik for wonderful success. Let your work speak and never forget to Ekla Chalo Re (red heart emoji)." The phrase Ekla Chalo Re is from Rabindranath Tagore's song, which means ‘walk alone’.
Responding to his tweet, Kartik thanked the filmmaker and added a red heart emoji. He wrote: "Thank you so much Sir (red heart emoji) #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 (call me hand emoji)."
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film has earned Rs over Rs 66 crores in just about 4 days. Earlier, Kangana Ranaut, whose film Dhaakad had also released on the same day but isn't doing commercially well, had congratulated the team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. She took to Instagram and tagged Kartik and Kiara while writing: “Congratulations to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for ending the dry spell at Hindi box office…congratulations to the entire team of the film.”
Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who is the rumoured boyfriend of the female lead Kiara Advani, was also all praise for the movie. Tagging the actors, Sidharth wrote on his Instagram story, “#BhoolBhulaiyaa2 got laughter, thrills and entertainment. Kudos and best wishes to @Kiaraaliaadvani @aneezbazmee @kartikaaryan @muradkhetani and the team. Kill it."
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a spiritual sequel to Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan's 2007 movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The director had earlier spoken about why he did not cast the same actors in the sequel. He had said the second film in the hit movie franchise is treated completely differently. It tells a different story with just some nostalgic elements in it.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, will release on Netflix after its theatrical release. However, the release date on Netflix is not yet shared by the makers.
Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri's recent film The Kashmir Files, starring Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, is streaming on ZEE5.
