Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Did Kiara Advani feel pressured to play Manjulika? Here’s what she has to say

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is almost ready for release, and we can't wait to see the horror comedy. Fans have already been talking about the film's trailer ever since it was released. Vidya Balan did play the role of Manjulika in the 2007 popular film, and she did an excellent job. But this time around, it’s Kiara who is haunted by Manjulika. So, when she was asked if she felt any pressure when she took the role, she said yes.

Kiara explained that she is not Manjulika in the movie, and added that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is not a remake. She also said that the new movie’s concept is completely new. Kiara said she took up this role because she believes the horror comedy genre can easily turn into a family entertainer.

When asked about stepping into Vidya’s shoes, Kiara told Mid-Day that this was not the case. She went on to mention that she said yes to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 because she “adores” the 2007 movie directed by Priyadarshan and also starring Akshay Kumar.

She went on to explain that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is significantly different from the original, since just a few elements are identical but the entire plot line is entirely new. As it is not a psychological thriller, but rather a horror comedy with a touch of black magic.

Along with Advani and Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Amar Upadhyay, Sanjay Mishra, Milind Gunaji, Karmveer Choudhary, and Rajesh Sharma appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film will be released in theatres on May 20.
