Bollywood has had a less than impressive year, with a number of big movies failing to hit the box office jackpot. Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is one of the few big movies this year that has done as expected at the box office. Even on day 18, the horror comedy has still had a considerably good collection.

As reported by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Bhool Bhualaiyaa 2 made Rs. 2.25 crore on Monday, its 18th day in theatres. The movie also had a fantastic third weekend, making Rs. 2.81 crore, Rs. 4.55 crore and Rs. 5.71 crore on its third Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Having already made it to the Rs. 150 crore club at the domestic box office, the movie’s total India business stands at Rs. 157.07 crore. According to reports, the movie has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 now has competition from Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj and Adivi Sesh’s Major, but the movie looks to still be pulling fans to theatres, holding its ground.

With Kartik Aaryan in the lead and also starring Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles, the sequel has received favourable reviews from critics.

“Another highlight of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the song and the background score, especially the fusion of Mere Dholna and Hare Ram Hare Krishna from the original film. It gives an interesting touch and a high of nostalgia while being played throughout the film.'' read the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Backed by T-Series Films and directed by Anees Bazmee, the movie is now available in theatres near you. The movie’s streaming rights have been acquired by Netflilx.
