Bholaa Shankar: Chiranjeevi talks about remakes, missing Keerthy Suresh on sets, and box office prediction

Bholaa Shankar is all set for a release on August 11, 2023, and the mega pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on August 6 on a very grand note. The entire star cast of the film attended the event except for Tamannah who was busy with a shoot in Mumbai. Right from the director Maher Ramesh to the cast and crew, everyone praised Chiranjeevi for how he has been an inspiration to the younger generation for over thirty years.

Chiranjeevi did not waste much time and addressed the topic of why he chose to remake Vedhalam. The star hero said that he loved the content in the film and when he found out that the film is not available on any mainstream platforms, he decided to go ahead. "What's wrong in doing a remake if the content is solid," said Chiranjeevi.

Adding further, he made a big statement that Bholaa Shankar will even beat the collections of his last film, Waltair Veerayya which made close to Rs 120 crores share at the box office. Bholaa Shankar has been directed by Meher Ramesh, who is making his comeback to direction after nearly a decade.

Speaking about him, Chiranjeevi said not many know that Meher Ramesh is my relative and has done complete justice to the film. The way he has showcased me in a fun avatar after a long time will impress the fans big time. Adding further, Chiranjeevi also praised Keerthy Suresh and said he misses working with her and would love to do a full-fledged film with her as a romantic pair.

Bholaa Shankar is set in Kolkatta and Chiranjeevi plays a cab driver with a past. Tamanah Bhatia is paired opposite Chiranjeevi and their combination scenes will be one of the highlights says Chiranjeevi. This is the first time that Tamannah is paired romantically with the megastar.

Bholaa Shankar has songs composed by Mahati Swara Sagar and Anil Sunkara is the producer of the film. Bholaa Shankar is facing tough competition from Rajinikanth's Jailer which will come out a day early on August 10, 2023.
